At any one time up to 25% of the population can be suffering from some sort of mental distress or mental illness. Both you and the person you care for may feel isolated and be unsure where to go for information and support. This factsheet outlines the services provided within Brent and includes information about voluntary organisations, drop in centres, support groups and helplines.

Young Carers
A'young carer' is someone aged 18 or under whose life is affected by looking after someone with a long-term illness or disability. Th eperson being cared for could be a parent, a brother or sister or another family member or a friend.
